My Third Novel is Officially Underway
I’m not in the least bit ashamed to say that I took a few days off after sending The Portal to my editor. I had been burning the midnight oil in order to finish the manuscript, so it was good to get some rest and relaxation. I was amazed at how quickly I was able to clear the cobwebs and recharge my batteries. A glass of wine, a deck, and tall trees are good for the soul. As you will see, the time off also seemed to fuel my creative juices.
At some point yesterday, I realized it was time to get back to work. I was getting the itch to write again. So, this morning I grabbed a legal pad and three colored pens, then headed to the living room at the front of my house. I don’t normally work there, but I figured the sunlight and the view of the outdoors might help stimulate creativity. After settling onto the couch, I began to put down a few ideas that had been bouncing around in my mind for some time. And when I did, something exciting happened—the details of a new plot began filling in so quickly that it was difficult for my pen to keep up. I was literally scratching things out as fast as I could go. Every question and plot hole was resolved with startling speed.
What does this mean? It means that by the end of the day the tentative outline will be in place for the third book in the Delphi series. But there is even better news: I can already tell that it’s going to be my best work to date. The plot will take place closer to home, not far from where many of my readers live. There will be familiar faces, but also a number of surprises. I can’t wait to take you there.

That is so wonderful,John! I am so excited that we all will have such wonderful new reads!
I am just getting too excited about all of this! Bravo for book #1 and to think book #3 is already underway. Congratulations John Sneeden I am looking forward to getting lost in the pages.
I just finished The Portal. What a page turner! I can’t wait for the next book in this series!
Just finished The Signal and then The Portal. Excellent books, clean and above board, but still very exciting “please I don’t want to put them down” books. I don’t like waiting long for the next book in the series, but because they are so good, it will be worth the wait I am sure. I have patience because you are a new author and one of the best I have encountered. Thanks John.

Thank you for taking the time to comment Francis! I’m glad you enjoyed the first two books. The third book in the series should come out in the first half of 2016, so hopefully you won’t have too long to wait.
I read the 1st 2 and cant wait for the 3rd to see what zane and Carmen are up to
I’m glad you enjoyed the first two books, Chris. I’m writing the third book right now, and hope to have it out sometime this spring.
Really Enjoyed your first 2 books. I’ll be looking forward to the next in your series. I read everyday on my train commute home from work.
Thanks for reading both books, Marshall. I’m glad you enjoyed them. I hope to have the third out this spring.
I read a lot of books. But rarely do I find one that is difficult to put down. I enjoy having something to read when I have a moment or two free, and my books usually last me awhile, and are often soon forgotten. But the Signal? Every page I turned, I just had to know what was coming next. I love the characters, I loved the plot, and this has been one of those rare books that left me sad as I was nearing the end, because I feared having nothing like it to pick up next. Then I… Read more »
William, thank you so much for your kind words. They meant a lot to me. I hope you enjoy The Portal as much as you enjoyed The Signal. The third book in the Delphi series should be out in the next couple of months. Thanks again and have a great week!
